Born in Tangshan, Heibei Provice in 1963, Yang Shaobin graduated from the Polytechnic University and in 1991 moved to the artist village at Yuanmingyuan, Beijing. In 1995 he settled at Tongxian, a suburb of Beijing. Yang’s work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions at numerous international galleries and musuems. His works are also included in many prestigious private collections including those of the San Francisco Musuem of Modern Art, Modern Art Center, Graz Musuem, Raum fur kunst und Musik Dusseldorf, and the Cartier Foundation.
